LYNN ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PLANNED RENOVATIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS updated 3/20/07

Update to FAQ #9 re: 3rd - 5th Grade Playground.
There will be a designated play area on the campus for these students, but there will not be interim playground equipment provided. The new 3rd- 5th grade playground will be built at the very end of the entire renovations project. WCPSS has possession of the old play structure for re-use elsewhere in the school system.

Update to #19 re: Carpool Plan during construction.
Update 03/19/07: Construction of the multipurpose/administrative area will begin soon. There will be a fence installed around that entire area during the construction. At this time, there will be a need for an interim carpool process. The project manager will come to our next PTA meeting on 4/10/07 to present this process. The middle lane of the parking lot where the construction trailer is located is not going to be blocked off. The interim process will be very similar to where parents pick up their children now except that the children will gather in the cafeteria instead of the multipurpose room.

New FAQ #23 re: PTA Shed.
What will happen to the PTA storage shed? The project manager will work with the PTA renovations representative on designating an accessible area for the PTA shed. He also said that they could lift/move the shed to this location without having to unload all the items from it.

Additional questions or concerns?
As construction questions or concerns arise, please contact Kirin by email at kirinwylie@nc.rr.com. She will be the representative for our PTA who will communicate directly with the project manager and our school administrators to get answers and relay concerns. It's a very exciting time for Lynn Road but of course construction always takes a great deal of patience. Thank you for your support during this time!
