Cultural Arts: -- Amy Allen
This committee chooses and schedules performances viewed by students during school. Volunteers attend the August Cultural Arts Festival in Wake County. A volunteer from this committee is present at the performances to assist the artist. For details or to ask questions, email Amy Allen

This committee works with the Guidance Counselors to organize the collection and wrapping of items for students in need at Lynn Road Elementary during November and December. Volunteers recruit sponsors from the school community and host a wrapping party prior to Winter Break. For details or to ask questions email Sandy Miley,

This committee coordinates the Book Fair, which takes place in October at Lynn Road Elementary. Volunteers staff the Book Fair during the day during the week and host

5th Grade Events: This committee coordinates multiple 5th grade activities throughout the school year including monthly ice skating nights, 5th grade t-shirts and the end of year 5th grade celebration. For more information contact Kurt Brenneman or Sorien Schmidt

This committee is responsible for organizing teacher and staff appreciation events throughout the year. Volunteers provide several teacher luncheons as well as recognition of staff members on special occasions such as Custodial Appreciation Week. For details or to ask questions, email

This committee coordinates volunteers to staff the Kid’s Voting booth at Lynn Road Elementary on the November election day. For details or to ask questions, email

This committee is responsible for promoting a positive image for Lynn Road Elementary in the community through publicity in a variety of local media outlets such as the News and Observer. For details or to ask questions, email Allison Dugan
Reading Incentive: -- Becky Chapman, Christina McComas
This committee is active throughout the entire school year. Many of the duties can be coordinated from home, such as tallying reading logs, coordinating parent volunteers and organizing class reading treats. However, some time at the school will be needed for

This committee prepares the Yearbook for printing. Volunteers collect photographs and artwork and create the layout of the Yearbook. Most of this work is completed by the

This committee organizes the Lynn Road Elementary Reflections Program. Students submit works of art in six areas: literature, musical composition, photography, choreography, film/video production and visual arts (drawing, painting, etc.) The submissions must support the theme for that year. Community Enrichment: --
This committee works with the staff and Guidance Counselors to implement the Feed the Bin Grant initiative. This initiative promotes student character trait development through the maintenance of composting bins, bird feeders and ecosystems to attract birds and butterflies on school grounds.
